Breast Cancer Six-Word Memoirs from BCAM 2013 – Week of Oct. 20

Enjoy our collection of breast cancer six-word memoirs week four! Inspired by Smith Magazine’s project, the Six-Word Memoir, we started the campaign early last month to highlight your experiences with breast cancer in six words. We launched this project in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) 2013.

Our breast cancer six-word memoir contributors never cease to amaze us with their poignant and inspiring stories, and their ability to tell these stories in six words.

Weeks one, two and three were amazing, and we’re happy to report that it’s an ongoing trend for week four’s mini-memoirs. Check them out below!

Although BCAM is over, we’re happy to announce that LBBC will continue collecting and posting breast cancer six-word memoirs for a weekly feature that begins this Friday, November 8! You can submit your mini-story about breast cancer by emailing online@lbbc.org with your first and last name, age, year diagnosed and breast cancer subtype and, of course, your breast cancer story in six words. (Also, don’t hesitate to share your story on the Six-Word Memoir website!)
